I was commissioned by Levi Strauss & Co. to create a logo, color palette and brand guideline document for SAWUBONA.
SAWUBONA is a platform dedicated to supporting LS&CO.‘s commitment to diversity and inclusion. Their purpose is to improve representation and cultural awareness towards black and African employees in Europe.
In terms of the design process, I was given the task to create a logo that would visually represent African culture in a modern and contemporary way avoiding ethnic stereotypes and traditional representations of African culture. Currently, the logo is being used internally, however it has been featured on Levi’s channels such as Twitter and Facebook.
